Rare Louis XVI-inspired chandelier in crystal and chiseled and gilded bronze with six lights. It is composed of a lit covered basin in gadrooned cut crystal, covered on its base with large leaves ending in a seed. It is surrounded by a frieze of pearls on which rest six dolphins spitting water serving as supports for the light-arms. Six beaded chains adorned with crystals connect the light-arms to the wrapped torus crowning the upper thread.
Biography
Art light creator, Baguès was founded around 1840 in Auvergne. Specialized in liturgical bronzes, the company grew at the end of the 19th century and started to make lighting bronzes, thanks to the generalization of electricity.
